Graduates earn 347 degrees, certificates from Drury University


About 20.2 percent of the 347 degrees and certificates handed out by Drury University in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Springfield conferred 54 master's degrees and 16 bachelor's degrees in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. Data shows the school gave out 23 bachelor's degrees in biochemistry, followed by 19 bachelor's degrees in architecture and 16 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 3,512 students for 2017-18, including 3,279 in undergraduate programs and 233 in graduate programs.
