Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
Michelle McBride, St. Charles County Collector of Revenue, was recently installed as the 2019-2020 President of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers and Finance Officers (NACCTFO).
“NACCTFO works to promote excellence in tax collection and treasury management in county governments, so I am honored to serve in the position,” McBride says. “This organization helps collectors, treasurers and finance officials throughout the country better serve our constituents by providing training courses and opportunities to exchange best practices, and by working to improve laws.”
As President, McBride will work to foster strong working relationships with various state associations; advocate for legislation on state and federal levels that affects NACCTFO members and their communities; and assist in professional development efforts. McBride also will continue to serve on the NACCTFO Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Committee. Prior to her presidency, McBride served as NACCTFO Treasurer, Second Vice President, First Vice President and President-Elect.
McBride has served as St. Charles County’s Collector of Revenue since 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Science in Administration with a Management Focus from Lindenwood University. She earned a Chancellor’s Certificate of Public Administration: Finance Master IV from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2019 after completing 250 hours of training through the university’s program in Public Policy Administration in partnership with NACCTFO. She is a Past President of the Missouri County Collectors’ Association (MCCA) and currently serves on MCCA’s Legislative Committee and as Chair of the PACE, Constitution and By Laws/Policies and Procedures, and Conference Committees.
