Cost of college went up for all students at Cottey College


Tuition and fees rose 4.8 percent for 2018-19 at Cottey College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Missouri students paid $21,160 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $960 more than the $20,200 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 83 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1 million and 53 students took out student loans totaling more than $296,110.

Including all undergraduates (271), 263 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.7 million, and 153 students took out $926,558 in federal student loans.
