Census Bureau: More men than women in Lake St. Louis in 2017


Of the 15,371 people living in Lake St. Louis in 2017, 48.5 percent (7,460) were women and 51.5 percent (7,911) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Missouri Business Daily.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 4,639-to-4,385. In the 65 years and over age range, there were 1,447 females and 1,522 males.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
